1. Joint Job Evaluation Committee
The parties shall, within thirty (30) days following the ratification of the Agreement establish a joint Job Evaluation Committee consisting of 3 representatives from the Employer and 3 representatives from the Union. This Committee shall be co-chaired by a representative from the Employer and a representative from the Union.
All parties to the Committee may, at any time, consult an external consultant who specializes in this area of expertise. Where the use of the consultant is mutually agreed to by all parties, the cost of said consultant shall be borne by the Employer.
2. Responsibilities of the Committee
The Joint Job Evaluation Committee shall meet as soon as possible to establish terms of reference for, and responsibilities of, the Committee in relation to a review of the current job evaluation process and recommendations for a future process
This Committee shall be charged with the responsibility for implementation of all its recommendations; which may include, but would not be limited to, recommendations for a new job evaluation tool, job evaluation process, classification process and/or appeal process.
3. Decisions of the Committee
All decisions made by the Committee shall be referred to the Employee/Employer Advisory Committee for final and binding approval on all parties.
4. Once the new evaluation system has been put in place, responsibilities for job classification/evaluation issues will be the sole authority of the Joint Job Evaluation Committee.
