307 DISIPLINE, DISMISSAL AND RESIGNATION |

| 307.01 | There shall be no dismissal except for just cause. |
| 307.02 | An Employee shall have the right to have a Union representative present when disciplinary notice is issued verbally or in writing. |
| 307.03 | Copies of all disciplinary notices shall be forwarded to the Union President. Employees shall have the option to sign disciplinary notices as having been read. |
| 307.04 | None of the provisions of this Article shall prevent immediate suspension or dismissal for just cause, subject to the grievance procedure. |
| 307.05 | An Employee who is dismissed or disciplined may grieve as follows:
a) An Employee who is dismissed may commence a grievance at Step Three (3) of the Grievance Procedure.
b) An Employee who is disciplined may commence a grievance at Step One (1) of the Grievance Procedure. |
| 307.06 | Abandonment is defined as:
A Regular Employee absent for five (5) consecutive work days without notifying the Employer shall be considered to have vacated his position, unless such notification was not possible. |
| 307.07 | Fourteen (14) calendar days notice shall be given by an Employee resigning from the employ of the Employer. |
