104 RECOGNITION |

| 104.01 | The Employer recognizes the Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 1645, as the sole and exclusive bargaining agent for the unit of employees as described in Certificate #165-92 as issued by the Alberta Labour Relations Board. |
| 104.02 | The Union shall inform the Employer of current appointments of Executive Members. |
| 104.03 | No Union activity shall take place during working hours without prior permission being granted in each case by the Employer. Such permission shall not be unreasonably withheld. |
| 104.04 | The Union and/or any Employee shall have the right to have the assistance of a representative of the Union when dealing or negotiating with the Employer. |
| 104.05 | Up to four (4) members of the Union may attend grievances, negotiations, and/or committee meetings without loss of pay. |
| 104.06 | In order that the Union can properly represent the Employees in labour-management relations, the Employer shall designate a Union room. |
| 104.07 | The Union shall be notified as soon as possible of all staff changes including hirings, dismissals, layoffs, recalls, transfers, appointments, extensions and employment grants. |
