104   RECOGNITION

104.01The Employer recognizes the Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 1645, as the sole and exclusive bargaining agent for the unit of employees as described in Certificate #165-92 as issued by the Alberta Labour Relations Board.
104.02The Union shall inform the Employer of current appointments of Executive Members.
104.03No Union activity shall take place during working hours without prior permission being granted in each case by the Employer. Such permission shall not be unreasonably withheld.
104.04The Union and/or any Employee shall have the right to have the assistance of a representative of the Union when dealing or negotiating with the Employer.
104.05Up to four (4) members of the Union may attend grievances, negotiations, and/or committee meetings without loss of pay.
104.06In order that the Union can properly represent the Employees in labour-management relations, the Employer shall designate a Union room.
104.07The Union shall be notified as soon as possible of all staff changes including hirings, dismissals, layoffs, recalls, transfers, appointments, extensions and employment grants.
